The Riara University will hold its next Law Review Action Public Lecture on Tuesday, 29 January 2013  from 2.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m.

Justice Majanja is a member of the Judiciary Working Committee on Election Preparedness and is involved in the drafting of the Supreme Court (Presidential Election Petition) Rules 2013 and the Elections (Parliamentary and County Elections) Petition Rules. He is also involved in the drafting of Regulations under Article 22 of the Constitution on the procedure for filing Constitutional applications.

Justice Majanja holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Trade and Investment Law in Africa from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Upon admission to the bar in 1998, Justice Majanja built a distinguished career in civil, commercial and public interest litigation. In 2010, he was elected to the Advocates Disciplinary Committee established under the Advocates Act.
Some of his groundbreaking judgments include: the decision on the date of the next general elections in John Harun Mwau v. The Attorney General; the case of New Vision Kenya (NVK Mageuzi) et al v. Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on diaspora voting; and the case of Okenyo Omwansa George v. The Attorney General on lawyers having a right to advertise their services.
